Message from Santi and Sandra!
Dear friends of Aramitan,
I follow your work and reflections daily on the blog with great anticipation and motivation. This is an important time in Aramitan and this work camp seems to be going great.
Over the years many young people have contributed in the process of building Aramitan and it was always with the view that one day it would be painted. You have now managed this and through this you have turned everybody's wish/dream to have Aramitan finally painted a reality! This deserves celebration…Well done!
We come close to the end of another year and this generally awakens a time of reflection in ourselves. This has been a year full of challenges for Aramitan. When I say challenges you might think I put a negative weight into it, but I mean it in a growing and positive way. Challenges build resilience and resilience is something that can be maintained through constant dedication and commitment. For commitment we need to take responsible steps and responsibility is not the same without Freedom, the Freedom that we experience within ourselves which gives direction to the decisions we make and affect directly and indirectly who we become and what our environment becomes. Freedom gives us a sense of self. Love plays a critical part because without it I might get lost in myself… Through Love we come together and build, create community and share and experience each others dreams and initiatives. Through Love at Aramitan we make ourselves available to create trust and hope for the future in a responsible and sustainable way building each year the next platform from which Aramitan can become a rich and dynamic community centre to fulfill its mission in practice.
For the team at Aramitan… I think we have managed together as a community of 'young' co-workers to grow through the joyful experiences we had as well as through the opportunities we developed from the difficult times.
I believe we have mantained a strong and resilient team and appreciate the support that you have shared with each other during the year.
Enjoy this special time of the year at Aramitan!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you all for the work you DO!
Santi and Sandra
